Indiana Health Care Foundation awards $39,000 to address infection control in long term care.
June 2017 - Indianapolis, IN - The Indiana Health Care Foundation (IHCF) recently awarded a total of $39,000 to two recipients implementing programs focused on advancing the standard of care for preventing and treating infections in post-acute and long term care settings. IHCF recognizes the importance of preventing and treating infections, particularly in this vulnerable population. These infections lead to the loss of tens of thousands of lives and cost the U.S. health care system billions of dollars each year.
The GrandView Pharmacy location in Brownsburg, IN was granted $19,500. The funds will go towards supporting the full implementation of a comprehensive antimicrobial stewardship program in partnership with Byron Health Center.
GrandView Pharmacy receives deficiency free survey from the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy
April 2017 - On April 19, 2017 the GrandView Pharmacy location in Brownsburg, IN was awarded a deficiency free survey from the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy. We're extremely proud of our team members who worked hard to accomplish this goal.

Grandview Pharmacy receives 2017 American Excellence Award
April 2017 - Grandview Pharmacy has been selected for the 2017 American Excellence Award amongst all its peers and competitors by the American Economic Institute (AEI).
Each year the AEI conducts business surveys and industry research to identify companies that have achieved demonstrable success in their local business environment and industry category. They are recognized as having enhanced the commitment and contribution of small businesses through service to their customers and community. Companies of this caliber enhance the consumer driven stature that American is renowned for.
Grandview Pharmacy has consistently demonstrated a high regard for upholding business ethics and company values. This recognition by AEI marks a significant achievement as an emerging leader within various competitors and is setting benchmarks that the industry should follow.
As part of the industry research and business surveys, various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the selected companies in each category. This research is part of an exhaustive process that encapsulates a year long immersion in the business climate of American.
What discount can we expect in the Doughnut Hole
October 2016 - Starting back in the 2011 Medicare Part D plan year, a discount or co-insurance (cost-sharing) was introduced to reduce the cost of generic and brand-name prescription drugs purchased by non-LIS Medicare beneficiaries once they entered the Coverage Gap (or Donut Hole / Doughnut Hole) portion of their Medicare Part D prescription drug plan.

October 2016 - Grandview Pharmacy was nominated for their engagement with INALA and for their support of partner communities and the industry as a whole. Mark Prifogle has contributed as an INALA board member and currently serves as treasurer of the INALA board and the INALA PAC. Mark is a champion for industry partner recruitment and routinely sponsors events and educational programs. Mark has also spoken at recent educational events on pharmacy best practices and evidence based diabetes management and antimicrobial stewardships.
Antimicrobial Stewardship Protocol is Designed to Help You Achieve Results
SEPTEMBER 2016 - This toolkit is designed to be used by any senior living community; all recommendations can be tailored to accommodate individual community’s needs and resources. There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach for promoting antimicrobial stewardship in post-acute care. Many of the action steps and strategies may already be in place at the community. Therefore, assessing existing processes for opportunities to incorporate antimicrobial stewardship is recommended.
